Nope your right;

Last year they did. Looks like Kaspersky isn't sponsoring them this year...

The distinction i was making on the previous page was the fact that Gazprom was 50.1% Russian Government owned. Not that it was Russian. I love Russians. Black and white.

I think the difference is that Kaspersky is an IT software company started by a couple of entrepreneurs.

Not the same thing as a billion dollar gas company with links to all kinds of shady political figures and oligarchs (& gangsters ?) that can and has cut off gas to whole European countries for political reasons in the past.

I can see why the AFL might block it.
But personally I wouldn't object - as long as it helps us make more $$ than the filth and the dawks

:lol:

Someone, Doc I think, mentioned earlier in this thread something along the lines we think we have a full sponsorship book. We don't really believe that do we?

Just watching 360 on Fox now and Rodney Eade and Bomber Thompson are on the panel wearing their clubs polo tops.

Collingwood have Adidas, Emirates, CGU and Westpac.
Essendon* have HostPlus, True Value Solar, Kia and someone else on the sleeve.
I also remember seeing Collingwood's top 5-6 years ago and being amazed at the number of sponsors on it, including McDonalds.

Currently our polo top has just our major sponsors, Mars and Hyundai. Maybe we're doing that as part of our deals with those companies to set them aside.

We have seperate deals with Visy, Telechoice and Optus, but surely we could be doing better. I was always surprised the deals with Dan Murphy's and Malaysia didn't continue longer.
