Happy to have this continue... we're winning 'em.

Collingwood had plenty to prove in 1992 at their Centenary game.

Sydney I think was also their Hall of Fame weekend.

Geelong already gave Bob Davis his farewell game by beating the unstoppable pies last week....it makes no difference to this weeks result....Blues will still win...

Richmond lost to Port Adelaide following Jack Dyer's death.
Footscray lost to Fremantle following Ted Whitten's death.

Geelong will probably come to play but they can't play any better than their best and I want to see if we can beat them at their best.

This is all Ron Evans' doing. He's still throwing roadblocks at us from beyond the grave.

Let's leave the 'persecution complex' issues to Collingwood.

In the end the quality shines through.

If we were not winning games like this then it would be us with the point to prove.

And as we found out when we sacked Pagan and installed Ratts - when you have a mediocre list a new coach might improve team spirit etc but in the end if you are 10-goal worse team you can't make up that much ground.

I'm far more interested in how Gold Coast are going to fare at Geelong this weekend

If Melbourne beat us, regardless of what is happening at their club, we need to start asking questions.

The scenario is actually very different compared to other coaches who have been sacked as the Dees players, God love em, were aiming to get rid of Schwab and Connolly and botched that up and Bailey took the fall.

I think the players would be devastated and won't be looking to make amends because clearly it would be saying that the coach was schizen and we are glad to be rid of him, which I don't think is the case here.

So you're saying the Melbourne players tried losing by 31 goals to get Schwab and Cuddles sacked, and that didn't work. So this week, they're going to go for 45 goals?

I like your theory a lot.

I agree with you on this J.J.

Further Viney has come out and said that there's absolutely no way that he'll be going for senior coaches position in 2012, so they'll hardly be playing to impress him.
