Um that would be '86. Sadly didn't play in '87.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

It has been a team effort, this project would not have been possible at all without the hard work of Tony De Bolfo (countless things, including sourcing tapes and organising appropriate storage facilities) and the support of Ian Coutts (funding the project).

Fantastic stuff.... Will any of this video footage be available to the average supporter or will it be hidden away again and used sparingly ?

Number one priority was preserving the material.

Next step will be for the club to have a good look at exactly what is there.

Then it is up to the club to decide what to do with the material.

There will be many options, use in displays at the club, promotional material, vision for club functions, maybe even movie sessions in the club theatrette, DVD production etc.

What would be great would be if the club could come to some sort of commercial agreement with Channel 7 (who despite throwing away their back catalogue, still own the copyright), and the games be made available for purchase online via the Blueseum and selected games be available at the merchandise shop. Too easy....it's the Channel 7 hurdle that is the biggest obstacle I would have thought...but wouldn't it be great to also be able to select the Channel 7 commentary and have the likes of Peter Bosustow, Mark Maclure, Geoff Southby and Jimmy Buckley provide some commentary - or film an additional roundtable (with beers) discussion about their memories from particular landmark games.

Dad tells me that is the way most of these blokes used to prepare for a big game on Saturday was with an even bigger Friday night.

That was the reason why we had so many great 3rd "premiership quarters" - it was about then the effects of the Friday Night hangover was wearing off.

Why doesnt the club have it's own 'Blueseum' ? I'm sure they could come up with the funds for it, and it'll surely make the club some $$$....

You culd probably get a Blues tragic such as Tim Lane to do the commentary on these games - Buzz would only be talking about himself, and most likley charge a large fee to do it.

Imagine McLaren or Razor Ray in that predicament

Yep, plenty of hair lost as well.

Less time on footy forums is great for weight loss.
