One thing that will probably be missed in the delisting scramble is our rookie elevations.

Congrats to Ellard, Jeffrey and Simon White on making the senior list. All thoroughly deserved

Looks like Cachia has been retained which is promising.

Well done to the boys....Davy and Jeffy certainly earned it, and Simon is well worth a shot.

Don't let Doc Sherrin know; he's not a fan. I am though.

Congrats to Garlett as it was expected with that sort of class, even better for Ellard because he earned it with sheer determination and hard work, and White for standing up in the big league without a full preseason under his belt in his first year.

Well done.

Do we have to revisit that again? I fully support his retention as a second year rookie. His learning curve is still huge, and he'd be under no illusion what to expect. Knows more about his body (which if he weren't in a professional environment he'd destroy), more about how to manage it during a season against men and most importantly what is expected of him during game time. Constant repetition is the key with this kid. Video analysis, quick ball handling, kicking on the run with balance, getting to every contest and keeping his feet whilst in the thick of it need constant coaching.

Players of his ilk are one of the reasons Alan Richardson is on board. I'd even get Diesel down to the club over summer specifically to work with Jaryd. He has potential. But he hasn't made it yet. Despite his father living vicariously through his son, if he listens to his coaches...he'll be fine. I for one will be a keen onlooker and if you're down again this summer Bondi - let's do training...I believe you owe me a latte.

Do we have to revisit that again? Yeah I owe you a latte or two.
I have kept a keen ear on Cachia because I haven't seen him since that preseason.
My mates and relo's tell me he's been very good; not elite.
Some on the forum posters have been impressed too.
It's about his hardness that impresses me, but I agree he needs more than that.

I don't like the sound of the DOA inuendo though; I think you just put me off.
Not another dad living through his kid.

I will be there in the preseason.
I will make an effort to catch up with you.
I will look to sponsor a player.
I will attend more home games than interstate games in 2011.
I will have to make more money in 2011.
I will continue to barrack for and support Tex too.
I will watch my team win a final with or wiothout Cachia.

I wish I was young again, so I can really stake a claim in the seniors at the Seagulls or the Zebras with a view to being discovered by WH.

Doc, I didn't know that Cachia would be retained or fail in 2010; he just looked good during the preseason.
AFAIC, if he hasn't got what it takes, he's taking up a spot on the list.
Congratulations to him making it thus far, along with the other young lads.

Agreed, Jeffy was brilliant all year and David showed his value in just a few games. Hope to see a lot more of Simon White next year.

All three are worthy promotions and we should be expecting to see alot of them in the navy blue in 2011.

Happy for all three. What a great system the rookie list has become!

Ellard has really worked hard and earned his spot. Garlett will be a best small forward and White showed some real promise last year before getting injured and will put real pressure on Jamo, Bower, Setanta and Austin for a key defender spot.

All positive IMO!

Simon White is my tip for most improved in 2011. Loved what I saw is 2010.

This is the good news today, that's for sure.

As noted, all three blokes have already shown they have a bit to offer.

Let's hope they continue to develop.

Congratulations particularly to Ellard - perseverance has paid off for him.

I hope he can lift his game to a higher standard, and become a better player than Adam Bentick was.

Good luck guys !!!

Agreed. Really happy for Ellard. He finally got a chance to showcase his wares, and he did a good job. Congrats to all three, and especially to Ellard.

Don't understand what the negativity over Cachia is about...he played a string of very good games for the Bullants I was fortunate enough to catch a couple of them. His disposal is above average [better than Ellards with better vision]

He needs to mind his temprement a little but his nouse and hard at it attitude is a must have.
