Flower head Jonathan Brown on the footy show selected the Pies to win and Swan to win the medal he should have won on Monday night - mind you Judd was near by.

By the way Block Head Brown the medal issued on Saturday is the Norm Smith medal not the Brownlow.

The best part was: "Wouldn't take much money to make a serious killing off the bookies if you knew Judd was an absolute certainty to win, would it?

I mean you bet what probably $5 on a Judd-Swan quinella and nearly win $170! Imagine KNOWING Judd would win and chucking $10,000 on it..."

Judd to go back to back Brownlows, the criticism from the press will in all likelihood spur him on, he seems like that sort of bloke. Playing a full 22 rounds will see him win by 10 votes too

Can't see the umpires taking a backward step either...

FFS take away the name Brownlow and it IS the umpires' award. Isn't that why it gets the most prestige?

Take the umpires award away from the umpires, they have no idea.

Dammit, thought I was clever putting $100 on Juddy at the end of round 3, at $13.
Spewing I didn't wait!!

4 days later, and I'm still thinking 'Juddy' and grinning
Onya Juddy, you superstar!!!!!!!

Mark Riccuito did his Top 50 for 2010 this week.

Had Judd at #19, Had Brad Green just above him at #18.

Cant be bothered looking for a link. Just shake your head, and take my word for it.

Great player Rupert, but have to take into account it's the same bloke who had Kurt Tippett at #10, in his preseaon Top 50. :hitcomputer:

Someone tell me how the AFLPA MVP works?

If each player votes for their MVP don't you think that award is also flawed?

Unless each players watches every game and keeps their own MVP tally it's based on opinion like everything else I would've thought?

STEP ONE – CLUB NOMINATIONS
Every AFL player is asked to vote 3-2-1 for their teammates for the Leigh Matthews Trophy for Most Valuable Player.
STEP TWO – VOTING
The nominations are then presented by the AFLPA to the Clubs.

Each player votes for one player in each category, except for the MVP, where players select three players on a 3–2–1 basis. Players cannot vote for their teammates.

Most footballers I have had an association with don't pay too much attention to the form of other players from other clubs throughout the year.

Most footballers would vote for whoever the media is making out to be the competition's No.1 player.

That's why the AFLPA award is always the most predictable in football. You can pick it every year.

Judd is on the pre-game show right now.....ch 7 have AGAIN shown and highlighted the Pavkich incident. Totally fu&$ing disrespectful IMO to do it while Judd is a guest on the show. Lethal and Richo dismissed it as minor, Hamish McFloglan wanted to milk it. Pathetic.

They were doing the same with Cousin's talking about hime taking sleeping pills etc, poor taste IMO. Then they wonder why the "great" players want to ignore the media as much as possible.
