no chasing your man either Juddy, cause you like to sit back and let your man scoot away and hope for a turnover and your free for the ball on the way out.

There, I said it....

we should give him a tagging role ala Gibbs - that'll teach him to chase!

Our problem is that the opposition know that when Judd's man gets free no one will make it their task to help Judd out,

catch22 hey danny.

Every player is accountable for their own opponent, as soon as somebody fails to stay with their man then it creates a spare man to link and run. The amount of dogs streaming through the midfield on Sunday unopposed was shocking, pinpoint delivery into the forward line results, hence the good goal conversion from the dogs.
You can't expect somebody else to leave their man in the middle to pick up Judd's man. Isn't that what we call downhill skiing.

If Judd won't defend and expect somebody else to then he as captain is not leading by example, it goes back to the lazy days of campo, kouta and stevens.

By the way, I'm very aware of all the other things Judd does but you can't always attack, you have to defend as well.

Sound like a quote taken from Matty Lloyds "Lets snipe at Carltons biggest asset and eventually their supporters will start saying it also" handbook.

Don't see any difference between Judd and Abletts accountability. Ablett gets away with it because he has hard bodies like Bartel, Selwood and Kelly to back him up. Our guys are not anywhere near as robust.

Next to Judd our toughest and hardest working mid is Kade Simpson!!! and I don't mean that as an insult, just that the guy is seriously skinny but still puts himself in harms way. A few more should do likewise.

We had the option of finding good tough players, but we traded our pick 11 for Brock McSlowandinjured.

I completely agree with this. Simpson fighting above his weight; our so called tough guys / protectors injured or in the reserves. Judd is a class above what we have and we lack the complete mid mix (sounds like a mix tape I had in the 1980's)
