Forget about Cornes, how the @#$%&! did B Harvey get in and get above N Stevens. This guy is clueless. Why is there such importance placed on his list. I see him more as the politics and features writer not as any sort of expert. Disgrace of a writer in a disgrace of a paper

I had no trouble with Kane Cornes being there, it'd Brent Harvey, Jimmy Clement, Matty Richardson that shouldn't be there. I can't understand why Fev's so low either.

Kane Cornes deserves his spot

Why shouldn't he be included Prez?

There's no way B. Harvey should be on the list he had a shocking year last year. Barry Hall is a good player but no way near number 4 in the comp.

I think just about everybody now knows that this list is made up in Sheehan's own fantasies of games and years long past. He still beleives that the potential of Richardson makes him belong in the top 50, when he has done very little in the last few years that would have him in the top 100 players in the league. I dont even remembe seeing it advertised as they usually do. SAyong that, i i would love to see Lance in the top 10 next year, and Livo rounding out the 50 with another 20 blue names filling the list. Hey i can dream cant i????
Carn the blues !!!!!!!!!!!!

And a shout out to the new sponsor Dan Murphy, i love your work!

I think any sense of importance stems from the broader footballing industry feeding on itself, rather than any semblance of serious credibility. Regardless of who makes Sheahan's list it is just his opinion and an almost impossible task as different players mean different things to their respective teams.

Example, as sensational as Voss, Lappin, Black and Akermanis are, are they individually more important to the Lions than, say, Jonathon Brown. With such a depth of midfielders the Lions could hope to cover any one of their fab four, but with Brown missing that is harder to cover.

It's a bit like the Wheels Car of the Year, every year the following issue is littered with people dissing the mag for their decision, regardless of which car wins. Yet, if people just chilled a bit and let the magazine make it's own decision and respect that they may come to a different conclusion then there'd be a few less ulcers around.

IMO Sheahan's top 50 creates controversy because most people reckon they could do it better. I'm not saying that people could or could not compile a better list, but it's just one person's opinion.

Boomer Harver in the top 50 is a joke. He played a shocker of a season last year and I'm sure he would admit that. IMO Kane Kornes definetely deserves his place and is hugely under rated. Going on last years effors Goodes and Crawford are probably ranked a bit high.
