We can, or maybe not.

It's possible, but then again it's not.

It depends.

Another thing about the season in which we do win a flag is that it is one that is very close.

Percentage plays an extremely important part.

While it is true that only a couple of wins separates most of the ladder in 2010 at this stage - I suspect that the seasons to come might be even closer.

The 17th flag year is also one during which Carlton doesnt really look like a team that could possibly challenge for the flag until late in the season.

We make the finals - But for most of that year our form looks decidely mediocre.

Need more Power (Bower).

To me is the flag possible? We are an outside chance with at least 18-19 of our best 22. When we get down to about 15-16 like yesterday, no chance.

As a statement of obvious fact rather than prediction

I do think that we will necessarily see a few more young faces in the team - and obviously greater depth..

How is casboult going ? - For me - that is a name that resonates with the future success that we will experience.

I think he will survive the cut and will be one of the ones that goes forward..

Many strong marks are taken by this one in the forward 50 - and there are many crumbs to be gathered too - but kicking outside the line is less sure.

Mitch Robinson will be a good player for Carlton in time.

Knowing where to be is an important skill that he will learn.

Then after his career is over he will be a popular media commentator.

I think he has a good smile for the camera - Maybe channel 7 will be interested.

I still reckon we are a chance as long as we can pinch a top four spot...we simply must stay in touch with the top four and the next 3 games are must wins IMO..

I am thinking of putting a book together of all your posts. It will be hard cover, lavish pictures inside, and quotes of other world famous philosophers/visionaries on Blueman's work.

Anyone interested?

Adam,
I have a feeling it will rival Kramer's coffee table book on coffee tables.

Winning a flag is not about being the best team for an extended period IE. Western Bulldogs / St Kilda.

It is about playing the best footy at any given moment IE Hawthorn 2008

In essence our footy lacks consistency but will get us into the 8.

Our footy and some luck may allow us to sneak into the top 4 (although unlikely)

From there anything is possible.
