carlton colt......thank you for posting that interview. :thanks:
you're a champion carltonian.

You can't help but love the big fella.
Great to hear he will not play on again after a mark in front of goal.
He played on because there's no mark's paid in Gaelis...that was such a long time ago, but it remains instinctive.
I hope he doesn't do it again...but something tells me otherwise.

He's fallen in love with Australia.
The next big thing says Gerad.

I was listening and nearly fell over when I heard my own dad ring in. First question.

I suppose I'm being a wet blanket but I'd really rather players didn't do the
big feature articles and that sort of thing. Best way I know to mess up their
form.

Fair call but I disagree. I am so happy for the young man and any articles or big stories/career push he gets, I think adds a huge amount of positivity to our club. This guy was recruited because at the time the club wanted to think outside the square due to the SC penalties and 7 years later he is still on the list and getting better. He has become a very important player for our club (as has Simpson, our 1st pick in 02) for that reason alone. The more the club praise the Irishman, the better. His form won't diminish, he has been through too much and is too much of a workhorse for that to occur.

How can you not like this bloke? IMHO he's a very impressive individual.

Like most, I had my doubts that he would get there but have always had a soft spot for him.

Absolutely rapt that he now 'belongs' and hope he continues his great form.

Anyone know what questions were asked of him when the the lines were open for punters to call in?

What a nice guy, would be great to see him continue to hold his own and maybe taste true success?

I lay claim to recieving his very first autograph at his very first training session.

Am absolutely wrapt for the bloke. Best thing that could have happened to him was Fev being traded.

Gee Pheonix...
I could lay that claim also !?!
I remember walking up to him as I knew the rumours via TBV (he was in civvies - not sure he had joined in training then) and he looked at me very oddly when I asked for his autograph. ....I could tell he was thinking, "what the..?"

Still have it on my hat...full name, very readable, no number...Not sure how he signs now

Happy to concede it may not have been the first,...but it was V E R Y early!

Great stuff but the reflection from Derwayne's bald spot was a little distracting...
