I hope Jarrad Waite does a few extra pushups at training this week

Very soft effort today. I just hope it was tiredness, which I think it was. Geez were running out of players. Good news was hendo and robbo. 3 games in 13 days, need a very very easy week at training, hopefully good Carlton shows next week. Crap end to a good weekend

God people bleat.

I was there, it was apparent early the injuries and suspension were going to seriously hurt us.

Plus we looked tired and they looked hungry

We cover Bower with Tex - out wait...We cover Tex with Waite...oh wait....We cover Waite with White...oh wait....

Johnson's kicks (the few he had) terrible. Then injured?

Yarran looked hurt before half time - any news on that?

Oh well. This was a tough game. We need to have a few wins over the next 4 weeks and get Bower, Tex, Waite, Houla and maybe Lucas and McLean into this side.

Forward structure exposed as soft
you can't win games with 5 of your top 10 out

back to the drawing board

The most painful bleating comes from those that bleat about it. What's the point of supporters suffering a loss if they can't whinge about it at the end? Would you prefer us to use our psychic powers and pretend we weren't playing for a week?

Setanta and his mates zero this week. Setanta's been good but the trouble with a couple of them they are flashy and brilliant, like Doughnuts from Collingwood, but I worry whether they all will be able to stand up under the stick. Time will tell on that.

In all fairness, it seemed that the ball wasn't getting into our forwardline very easily.
At times our forward entry was courtesy of Hawks keeping possession by going back.

We got caught in Clarkson's cluster between HB and HF.

They played well.
They looked fired up.
We looked slow and were not first to the ball.

Our rucks certainly did not dominate the clearances. Their mids were hungry and strong at the ball.
They got the ball first and they did well breaking the lines with quick ball movement.

There was a time there with 5 mins to go till the end of 3rdQ, when I thought we could do it.
At least this team gives us hope, because we know when they are feeling fit they are dangerous.
We looked fatigued for much of the game.

Our list atm is decimated by injury/suspension/illness/underdone players. So lets get real.
We can do with Waite, Bower, Walker, Houlihan, Hadley/McLean and Lucas back in the team.
3 games over 13 days :yikes:
