Kruezer will be a great Ruckman but a champion centre half forward

Warnock/Jacobs/Hampson can fill the ruck. We get an injury to Setanta or Waite we are exposed in the forward line without Kreuzer

I must say I disagree. I want Kreuzer wherever the ball is. He can go forward and kick a few but he is a born ruckman.

Developing my views on this as time progresses but I think our premiership window is Judd pre 30 years of age I also think we are at least a key forward short. All the top KPP Young forwards take 5 years to develop: Kennedy, Hawkins, Gumbleton, Fevola. We are unlikely to recruit one. I mean Setanta playing out of his sox and Waite's there but one injury and we will struggle in finals. The testube is Stkilda without Rewoldt. You may hold the view that Kreuzer is a better Ruckman. I think the side is better served giving him as much gametime as possible at CentreHalfForward

If Kreuzer had shown himself as a potential dominant forward I'd agree but so far he has shown himself to be an elite ruckman in the making.

And capable of pinch hitting as a forward.

He marked well today, that was encouraging, but make no mistake, he is a ruckman.

No CHF, Maybe more like Simon Madden, Ruck and drift forward.

Not able to lead like Mike Fitzpatrick,

More likely to chase his own ball and contest that to run around on the lead

We've got him right where we want him.

Disagree.

He is a follower/on baller and a bloody brilliant one! Drifting forward occasionally with effect.

The way we're using him now is spot on!

Although the last couple of games were encouraging in regards to his marking ability, I don't think he's currently good enough physically or even in ability to consistently have a major influence against key backmen. Matched up against Ruckmen he can be awesome, but against backs like Scarlett or Lake, I don't think he's ready yet.

Jacobs was exposed a few times today, could Hammer be back next week?

Are you worried about Carlton receiving a ruck lesson from Renouf and Skipper? :sly:

Didn't Jacobs rush that Westhoff shot through for a point or mark it?

Trengove did a few sublime things against Sauce......Trengove looks like he will be a ripper.

Maybe Tengove would still have done those sublime things against Hammer or Krooze or Cox ?

Also took some great contested marks when we needed them, something none of our other ruckmen in waiting have been able to do at senior level.

At the moment he is clearly a ruckman, but you never know what his game and abilities will be like when he is 24-26

Ruck and drifting forward or pinch-hitting up forward for me. Doesn't mind playing at AAMI either :smoking:

Something has to give with our rucks. When they're all fully fit, we cannot have the luxury of 4 genuine rucks at the club. Loving Sauce at the moment, but if Hammer can learn to hold his marks, then I reckon he and Kreuz are our ruck future, with 206 the back-up. Sauce to GC or GWS ?
