Think it will definitely be Juddy at this stage, just can't get past this tried and true champ! As well as Russell is going at this stage, I'd say he'd be in the top 4 in our B&F at the moment...

Top 5 in no particular order...
Juddy
Betts
Russell
Scotland
Jamison

Then
Simpson
Murphy etc...

It's a credit to our team performance that only a couple of household names in our team are among the best at this stage. These are exciting times we just need to keep it up and stick to that team performance on a weekly basis.

If Carrots, Lance and Teague can win the b & f, then anythings possible.

Would be pretty dissapointed if he won it. It would mean our top players have a bad year eg. Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Kruzer etc.

Not great recipe for finals.

Not quite sure about your logic on that one.
We beat StKilda by 10 goals and he was close to BOG and Juddy, Murphy, Gibbs, Kruezer all played. The way I see it is that we actually don't have to rely on our guns to beat good teams, in the past it was stop Judd and Fev and the game was virtually over.

Oh geez, sorry my logic is wrong. The game starts in the backline, not the midfield.

Forget B & F, if he can poll more then Judd in B&F, lets go for the Brownlow.

Except the voting in the club B&F is distinctly different to the crap shoot that is Umpire Brownlow Medal voting

Your logic is getting worse.

What do you guys honestly think is more important as BOG in St Kilda's game on Monday?

Carrazo stopping Dal Santo, who always kills us.
Garlett 4 or 5 goals.
Betts 4 or 5 goals.
Judd's midfield work.
Russells - 36 possessions, l'm sure atleast 10 possessions were in slow tempo kick to kick.

Is this the same Carazzo that you mentioned above with Lance and Teague?
For the record he was BOG for mine. God help us if he wins the B&F.
What is important is spreading the load and having players stepping up when others are down.
Opposition teams focus on the guns which means there is less pressure on other blokes. It is in everyones best interests that the lower to mid range players in our team close the performance / consistency gap between themselves and Judd and co.
We won't go anywhere if this does not happen.

Good point woof.

In addition Carrazzo was overwhelmingly voted as BOG in the opening round on every forum and every media outlet. That was with all the stars playing except for the suspended Judd. So that's 2 BOG's for Carrots in 7 rounds. It says a lot about the calibre of player he is.

Not fair to compare players who've won BOGs in different years.
Not right to belittle any Carlton B & F winner. Period.

Yeah, l'm not saying Lance, Carrots, Teague didnt have great seasons. They had great seasons. But, l think they won them in our pagan days with a bunch of recycled players in the team.

JR will not win the B&F. Too much talent infront of him.

All credit to JR but I think the B&F might be just a bridge too far. Most Improved maybe but not the B&F. Carrotts is a dark horse and will poll well. He was Ratten's BOG from Monday night for sacrificing his game for the team. Houlihan would have scored votes as well for the same reason. Judd will win it though, Murph to come 2nd.

The big question for me though is that now Hoops and JR are playing well, who do we all pick on???
