Hi all,

I've started a facebook group with the aim of designating a “blues fan pub’ to gather at on game days (both before and after the game). The inspiration for this concept is English football’s pub culture (minus hooliganism) and the sense of camaraderie it creates. Melbourne Victory fans also do a similar thing.

After AFL games however, celebrations end as soon as fans leave the ground. A designated pub would mean that Carlton supporters could continue to celebrate together into the night. Also, the venue could be used for pre-match beer before heading to the ground (en masse?!).

Please join this group if this idea interests you. When we have a certain number of members we will vote on 2 pubs, one for the MCG and one for Etihad. Spread the word to all blues fans and let the good times roll on!
