A bit of a disagreement with a (hawks supporter) mate of mine.

He says there a question mark over the new Lance because he is liable to 'go missing' after the first quarter.

Says he did this in the Bulldogs match and this is amajor factor that will work against us in the wizard GF.

However Im not sure whether this is supported by his quarter by quarter match stats.

I invite TC'ers to comment on this....

He's just spewing because the Hawks have no forward line.

He's probably only seen Carlton play once this year and he's probably baseing his entire judgement on that one performance.

Is this based on the same Ch10 stat which had Lance "go missing" for 28 mins, even though he'd had several possessions in the time when he wasn't supposed to have had any?

Your mate's talking out his arse.

Hawthorn supporters have as much knowledge at the moment as their team does skill.

Who cares, we won it in the first qtr anyway, when Lance was the big red key

Tell your mate 1 great quarter from Lance is worth more than 1 good game in 4 from Barker of 1 in 22 games from Holland :P

Mind you, if he thinks that Lance is only playing well 1 quarter in 4 then tell him he's dreamin :!:

in absolue terms Lance has played 12 qtrs in the wiz cup versus the 4 that any of his alternatives from the hawks offered.

(all scribes had him in their top 6 for the first two games).

..............and by the end of it he will have pulled on the boots for 16 qtrs.

if your mate is your right, then 15 marks in one qtr against the bummers and 13 marks in one qtr against the dees is one hell of a performance! :?

He did actually go quiet but 9 dominant quarters out of 12 is acceptable to me.

I'd reckon he's still sneak in to the Hawks team.

Yeah I was going to post on that earlier this week but forgot. I remember Lance getting a mark and then passing off to Chambers for a shot at goal. 2 min later a Ch 10 graphic comes up saying Lance hadnt had a possession for 28 min. The commentators repeated it without anyone mentioning the mark and kick just 2 min before. Very reliable stats there Ch 10
